Caring Community Food Guidelines

When preparing support packages please refer to this guide and our food guidelines.

1. The Caring Community determines any special dietary considerations and needs from the family.

2. The team leader contacts volunteers to schedule who and when each volunteer should prepare a meal.

3. A volunteer will deliver the meal(s) to specific address in sealed containers NOT to be returned, with ice packs, when necessary.

4. Be prepared to leave food in the Caring Community "Cooler", which will be placed outside the door of their home.  (We will place a weight in the cooler so it stays in place.) The purpose of the cooler is so that those delivering food do not have to have someone at home and can just drop off the meal.

5. Please knock, greet and extend wishes from the Caring Community of Temple Emanuel, if you wish.  This is not meant to be an extended visit, so please be sensitive to the family's needs for privacy.  A Caring Community card will be included with the first meal delivery.

Thank you in advance for being a part of this important Mitzvah!
