Yom HaShoah

Temple Emanuel observes Yom HaShoah with a service and seder, both are free and open to the community and families with children are encouraged to participate.

Members and guests of the Temple Emanuel community observed Yom HaShoah, commemorating the tragedy of the Holocaust, on Sunday, April 27, 2014. Our observance was built around a remarkable Seder, employing a unique Haggadah that was created by Dr. Jacobo Rubenstein of Aventura,Florida. Dr. Rubenstein came north for this event, joining Rabbi Romer, who conducted the beautiful service assisted by various congregants, especially young men and women who are advanced students in our Religious School.

Yom Hashoah observance in 2016:

Yom Hashoah Seder Sunday, May 1st, 6:00pm

Testimony from a member who attended the 2014 service:

"You can't build a movement on the foundation of mourning.  I dread coming to Yom Hashoa events knowing the difficult material to be discussed. But I left this Yom HaShoah seder energized, empowered and enlivened." ~ Ric Lewit, Past President
